Piano Tuning
The price varies depending on the travel distance and condition of the piano. Pianos that have not been tuned for several years may require a pitch adjustment which is more than one tuning per visit.
Regular tuning takes about one to two hours. Please allow an extra half hour for the first appointment due to the assessment and a light cleaning.
Our Service Area is Northeast Florida. This includes St. Johns, Duval, Clay, and Putnam Counties. (St. Johns, St. Augustine, Ponte Vedra, Ponte Vedra Beach, Jacksonville, Orange Park, Fleming Island, Green Cove Springs, Palatka, Palm Coast etc. )
Pitch Adjustment
When a piano hasn't been tuned for a number of years, it may require more than one tuning. This is called a Pitch Raise or Adjustment. This entails two or more tunings in one visit depending on the condition of the piano and strings.

Additional Services
Dampp Chaser, Piano Climate Control System installation: A Dampp Chaser is a piano humidity control system which helps preventing damages to the piano from climate and environmental changes, and keep pianos in tune longer. Michelle’s Melody is the trained and certified installer.
Dawson String Covers: Michelle’s Melody is an authorized dealer for Dawson String covers, 100% wool, handmade, and handout string covers for grand pianos which are available in many colors and decorative stitches. Dawson String Covers protect the inside of your piano from not only the dust but temperature and humidity changes, greatly improving the effectiveness of climate controls systems installed in pianos. Dawson String covers also hinder rust and corrosion of the crucial parts of your piano.
Full Cleaning: Full piano cleaning includes lubricating keypins, vacuuming strings, and removal and vacuuming of panels, keys, and keybed. It is recommended about every 5 years.
